#FriendsTravel Montréal Quebec Canada Urban Vacation JESS Kalinowsky JESS@FriendsTravel.com

I’ve monitored trends, industry news, and sale patterns to point you in the direction of places that offer the best bargain values for the coming season. Below you’ll find examples of deals presently available for spring trips. Like all deals, these are sure to expire; however, a little research on your part can yield similar results when you’re ready to book.

Montreal

In true Canadian style, travelers can say both hello and bonjour to bargains in Montreal this spring. More booking options and city-wide hotel deals put North America’s taste of France within easy reach of travelers on a budget.

Delta Air Lines and Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet just launched an interline agreement that gives Delta passengers greater access to Canadian destinations—including Montreal—on a single ticket. On May 2, WestJet will also launch additional service between Toronto and Montreal with a unique guarantee: Passengers with flights delayed more than 30 minutes will receive 50% off their next flight on the route.

Montreal’s current Sweet Deal promotion, which runs through May 31, delivers 50% off a second night’s stay, with rates from $115 USD a night at participating hotels. The deal includes free breakfast, high-speed Internet access, and room upgrades, plus extras such as gift certificates, bath products, and wine tastings. The For Foodies packages, with rates from $109 USD per night, come with free metro tickets, discounts on food tours, and exclusive treats at restaurants.

Nashville Entertainment

Nashville is unquestionably the “Home of Country Music“. There is so much to see and do here, with Country Music being the common thread! Start at the Opryland complex and enjoy a lunch entertainment cruise on the General Jackson paddlewheeler. Then it’s off for an evening at the Grand Ole Opry to enjoy some of Country’s great entertainers. Then how about the Always Patsy Cline Show at the Ryman Auditorium, which is the original home of the Grand Ole Opry. Squeeze in the new Opry Country Classics show and a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame, and you are all set.

NASHVILLE@FriendsTravel.com 24/7/365 JESS Kalinowsky Professional Travel Consultant

Country music is not everything you will find in Nashville, however it is certainly at the core of this lovely city. From the Country Music Hall of Fame, to the Grand Ole Opry and to the downtown “District”, it is hard to imagine Nashville without country music.

In 1925 the “Opry” hit the airwaves with weekly shows featuring the country movement. Most of the famous country singers started out here, usually in the Ryman Auditorium downtown. If they were good enough, they would be asked to go on the show at the Grand Ole Opry, just outside of town.

The “District” in the old part of downtown is where a lot of the local entertainment is found today. You can walk into one of the spots there and might see an up and coming new star or even a famous star. Whatever you experience you can depend on great music, wonderful southern cooking and very friendly people.

Don’t miss Nashville, it is a real hoot!

Branson’s live music entertainment industry turns 50 this year!

Located almost in the center of the United States, Branson, Missouri has grown to be one of the top tourism destinations in the country. Located in the Ozark Mountains in an area with three lovely lakes, it is a destination focused on entertainment. Many famous singers and musicians entertain much of the year in one of the 49 theaters producing more than 100 shows per day.

Branson is a family destination with not only great entertainment, but also several theme parks for the kids and Branson Landing, a shopping and dining center. Don’t miss Silver Dollar City, a craft village and theme park. You can also golf, fish, hike or just relax in Branson and the surrounding area.

Of course the big attraction is the entertainment along the “Strip”. From old favorites to some of the brightest new stars can be seen in Branson. Come for the music, but stay for all of the other things you will find in this “Ozark Disneyland”.

Someone you love is always playing in Branson.
